Legal Support Services
Let a lawyer handle it.
The average employee misses over a week of work per year attending to legal
matters. Most often, they're routine issues: traffic and accident matters,
real estate closings or disputes, divorce, custody or other family issues.
The kinds of things everyone has to deal with from time to time. Yet, every
time an employee misses work to attend to such matters, it costs you money.
Legal Support Services is a program that makes it easier for your employees
to hire a lawyer to handle these and many other legal matters for them with
one exception. Utilization of this program does not include the representation
of the employee against his or her employer. The net benefit of this service
to the employer is less time away from the job and the ability to retain better
on-the-job focus by employees knowing their problem is in competent legal hands.
The accessibility advantage.
Most Americans are hesitant to seek legal counsel because they fear the costs
and hassles of finding a suitable attorney. The Legal Support Services option
lowers those barriers by first providing referrals though a 24-hour toll-free
number to top attorneys in each service area. As a member of this program
your employee is entitled to one (1) free thirty-minute office consultation
for up to three separate legal matters per year. In the event your employee
decides to retain the attorney after consultation, he or she will be provided
with a preferred rate reduction of 25% from the attorney's normal rate.
Consequently, employees have new found freedom to seek the legal counsel they
need, instead of attempting to represent themselves - a choice that usually
leads to greater stress and poor results, both of which have negative implications
for on-the-job performance.

Counseling & Debt Management
Relief from the high anxiety of debt overload.
The burden of an overload of debt can make even the most well-meaning employee
a burden to his or her organization. Worries about finances and debt often
impact personal relationships and credit worthiness, creating stresses and
distractions that have very real implications for job performance. Even your
high salary employees can suffer from problems with debt due to poor spending
or saving habits, large unanticipated expenses, illness or disability.
When you select the Credit Counseling and Debt Management option for your employee
assistance program (EAP), it gives your employees access to the third party
help they may need to take an onerous debt situation and make it manageable.
And since they receive the service both free and anonymously, it gives them
the opportunity to maintain their dignity while addressing their situation.
Certified credit counselors will work with your employee to evaluate the financial
situation and use available income to structure a debt repayment plan in cooperation
with the employee's creditors.
The relief it yields allows the employee to resume a lifestyle that, though
more modest, is eminently more conducive to workplace productivity, since the
distractions and anxieties caused by constant dunning notices and financial "shell
games" are put in check. Back to top
Telephonic Counseling Program
Many factors can prevent employees who are truly seeking
help from scheduling and appointment at a clinician's office. Some
reasons have to do with privacy, lost work time, difficult schedules or they
may live in a remote area where services are not conveniently available. Telephonic
counseling, available evenings and weekends, provides another means to access
EAP programs and counselors for all of those employees. Thus,
providing the help they need to maintain health, wellness, and productivity.
